Darrin Clement

Darrin Clement, Founder and CEO of Maponics, has more than 13 years of mapping and GIS data experience with organizations such as Geographic Data Technology (now TeleAtlas/TomTom), Map Applications Inc., and Banyan Software.  Darrin is a recognized innovator and leader in the GIS industry and a regular speaker at national conferences.

At Maponics, Darrin has assembled a management team that has driven steady growth and product-line expansion in geographic data products for GIS, database, web, and mobile applications. Darrin continues to focus on establishing high-level partnerships and setting a course to enable Maponics customers to better serve their markets. 

While at Geographic Data Technology, Darrin was Director of Product Development and led a group that successfully diversified and expanded the product line to five major product sectors and target markets.

Darrin holds an MS in Engineering from the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College and a BS in Physics from Binghamton University. 

Steve Zuckerman

Steve Zuckerman, Vice President of Technical Operations, has more than 26 years of GIS development and cartographic experience with organizations such as the Defense Mapping Agency, U.S. Census Bureau and Geographic Data Technology (now Tele Atlas/TomTom). Leveraging his unique experience and skillset, Steve has become an authority in the GIS industry. At Maponics, he has put together a world-class team and a cutting edge geographic data production system.

As the Business Development Manager at Geographic Data Technology, Steve initiated and spear-headed the implementation of an enhancement effort that significantly improved the accuracy of street features within the database. 

In his decade of experience as a Computer Mapping Specialist with the U.S. Census Bureau, Steve was responsible for the development of digital mapping systems and field data products.  In preparation for the 2000 Decennial Census, Steve led several mapping initiatives including the development of advanced text placement software and system designs for the replacement of the field and publication map production systems.

Steve holds an in MS Mapping Sciences from The Ohio State University and a BS in Geology from the University of New Hampshire.

Mark Friend

Mark Friend, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, has over 15 years of high-tech Sales and Marketing experience.  At companies such as Vicinity (now Microsoft), Go2, Paramark, and Tactician, Mark drove significant revenue growth as an executive in Sales, Marketing and Business Development.

At Maponics, Mark has been instrumental in establishing the company as the leading provider of geographic data to numerous industries, including: Real Estate, Search/Local Search and Direct Marketing.     

Mark holds a BA in Finance from California State University at Fullerton and has completed post graduate work in the fields of Finance, Sales, and Law.
