School Boundaries 1.11.1 release
In March 2011, Maponics released version 1.11.1 of our School Boundaries products. With this release, we continue to expand coverage of locally-sourced school attendance zones (SAZs) across the U.S.
What’s New in Version 1.11.1
Version 1.11.1 is the first release of School Boundaries for 2011. The following enhancements and changes have been included in this release.
Coverage Expansion
Coverage of locally-sourced school attendance zones (SAZ) has increased significantly. In this release, the percentage of student population represented by the areas with SAZ-level coverage has increased from 60% to 70%. Coverage was expanded in thousands of new cities and expanded in cities with existing coverage, including Chicago, IL and Dallas, TX. As of the 1.11.1 release, SAZ-level coverage is included in nearly 14,000 cities and towns across 49 states, Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico.
Attribute Extension
A new attribute field ‘Coextensive Boundary’ was added to the School District Boundaries table to flag when a school attendance zone is coextensive (equal) to the school district boundary to facilitate understanding and the use of the schools data. See documention for database field details.
Database Schema Changes
There were no database schema changes made to existing tables or fields in this release.
