Maponics Acquires Full Rights to HomeGain's Neighborhood Boundaries Effective June 1, 2007

Norwich, VT - Maponics LLC, a mapping provider of custom digital map products and services, today announced the previous acquisition of HomeGain's neighborhood map database for an undisclosed sum. Effective June 1, 2007, all rights and intellectual property of the database belong to Maponics. Under the terms of the agreement, HomeGain, its owner Classified Ventures, and its affiliates retain a lifetime license to use the original neighborhood map data.

"HomeGain's work in compiling neighborhood boundaries from a real estate perspective is an excellent addition to the data resources Maponics has compiled," said Steve Zuckerman, Director of Mapping Operations at Maponics. "With our vast experience in geospatial data, and the resulting enhancements we have made to their data before integrating it into our holdings, we now have the most robust neighborhood map data for the United States."

"Most buyers are aware of the city or neighborhood where they want to buy a home; however, they haven't always had a way of searching by neighborhood or visualizing the neighborhood boundaries," said Louis Cammarosano, General Manager of HomeGain, a leading real estate site and long-time partner of Maponics. "Maponics can now enable companies in the real estate space, local search firms, social networking sites, and traditional mapping companies to offer their users an enhanced experience and better results through neighborhood searches," Cammarosano said.
