Maponics announced today that Dan Adams has been promoted from Chief Operating Officer to Chief Executive Officer. Maponics' founder and former CEO, Darrin Clement, will stay on at the company, developing new markets for Maponics as Chairman of the Board.
A Time of Growth
In the previous 15 months, Maponics has released 13 datasets in its Context™ product line. Context is the first-ever suite of lifestyle and behavior analytics and includes Context Walkability™, Context School Rankings, Context Demographics and 10 others. With these new products, the company is now responsible for a massive amount of data management, much more so than before.
“The scale of the business is growing,” explained Clement. “We are committed to maintaining and improving Maponics’ high quality of service and customer experience while engaging new opportunities. These management changes enable us to do both.”
Clement says that Adams's broad GIS experience in operations, sales and business development will provide the type of leadership Maponics requires in this period of high growth.
New Products, Same Product Direction
Adams notes that while improving on processes, Maponics will retain its strategy. The company's mission remains the same: to provide the highest quality data to meet the growing needs of the marketplace. In addition to introducing Context, Adams says, the company is still laser focused on its core product offerings: Neighborhood Boundaries, School Boundaries, ZIP Code Boundaries and Social Places. About the future, Adams comments:
“As the market continues to find exciting new ways to use location data in consumers’ day-to-day lives – from social networking, to accessing healthcare, to buying a home – we see the opportunity for Maponics’ products to play a central role in a growing number of everyday activities.”
