Neighborhood by ZIP Codes

ZIP Codes are a common way to group and analyze information—from basic demographics to crime statistics. But, since the ZIP Code system was designed solely as a way to organize mail delivery by the U.S. Postal Service. ZIP Codes lack cultural and social significance. Neighborhoods, on the other hand, are highly relevant when trying to understand the social characteristics of an area. Having the ability to correlate neighborhoods by ZIP Codes and conversely, ZIP Codes by neighborhood, is extremely useful to businesses dealing with both geographic units.
As part of Maponics Neighborhood Boundaries TM, we offer a data file that correlates all neighborhoods by ZIP Code, showing each of our neighborhoods along with corresponding ZIP Codes and the percentage of geographic overlap. For instance, here is a view of the neighborhood by ZIP Code data for New York’s Soho neighborhood:
Example of Neighborhood by ZIP Codes for Soho, NY
