School Boundaries

Maponics School Boundaries

School boundaries - both school districts and school attendance zones - are critical real-life boundaries that affect important personal, family, and business decisions.

Choosing a home in a high-performing school attendance zone, estimating property valuation, allocating public funds - all are made possible only with accurate, complete school boundary data.

Maponics School Boundaries™ is a comprehensive dataset that includes school districts, school attendance zones, and public and private school locations.

Maponics - The School Data Leader

Maponics was the first to offer school attendance zone boundaries in a comprehensive school dataset. Spatial data is our expertise. We build and define our school boundaries in-house to ensure the highest quality.

Maponics School Boundaries covers 86% of US student enrollment at the school attendance zone level. The dataset also covers 100% of US student enrollment at the school district level, as well as all of the country’s public and private school locations.

Developed by mapping experts using rigorous research methods and multiple local data sources (through collaboration with local school officials and organizations), Maponics School Boundaries provides geographic data that mirrors the reality on the ground and keeps it current. Maponics School Boundaries customers include the top real estate websites, including Zillow, Trulia, Realtor.com, and Redfin.

Increase Insight with Context® GreatSchools™ and Context School Rankings

School data becomes even more powerful when enhanced with school ratings, rankings, and reviews. Maponics School Boundaries synced with Context® GreatSchools™ and School Rankings enables home buyers to search for homes based on which school they want their children to attend.

Context GreatSchools

With their unique ratings, Maponics Context GreatSchools offers a convenient way to understand how well schools perform state by state. The GreatSchools Rating is on a 1-10 scale, where 10 is the highest and 1 is the lowest. Ratings are broken down into three categories: ratings 1-3 signal that the school is “below average,” 4-7 indicate “average,” and 8-10 are “above average.”

GreatSchools data also includes more than one million school reviews by parents, teachers, and students, providing the kind of on-the-ground details that can only come from those who know the school best.

Context School Rankings

Maponics Context School Rankings provides school performance rankings and percentiles, math and reading test scores, and detailed school profiles. With Context School Rankings, users get a ranked list of all the schools in that state. Unlike with Context GreatSchools – which can assign the same rating to multiple schools – schools in Context School Rankings only have the same ranking if they've tied.

Maponics school attendance zones + Context GreatSchools and School Rankings = the only available option for syncing school attendance zone boundaries with school ratings, rankings, and reviews
